Prerequisite include posture, food habits, setting up environment, choosing the right song for your voice, breathing techniques etc.
While you learn to sing a song, aspects related to it like knowing Sruthi, Tuning ears to Notes, Rhythm, Diction, Slang, Modulation, Emotions, Dynamics, Ornamentation, Voices etc are explained in detail with related mobile app to practice at home.

Who can enroll in the course?
Anyone who wants to learn Cine Music, anyone who wants to make a career in Music, anyone who wants to scale up singing ability
How long is this course?
It is certainly difficult to plan duration for such music courses, as it depends on person to person, some take few songs to understand, some take months or years too. I would recommend learning at least for 6 months to 1 year to get a hold of the foundation and scale up firmly.
Will you teach carnatic lessons here?
This course doesn't include Carnatic lessons and aimed to learn the art of learning a film song. However, to teach the basic notations of any nuances, or Swaram parts in a song, a section to understand the Sruthi, tuning ears for different notes, understanding the notations will be there for reproducing the song perfectly.
Will you teach to write notations/swarams for film songs?
Yes, at a later part of the session, I will teach an example to break down a song to different notes to teach song details and aim to perfection. However, by merely learning notes for a song, one cannot get the complete knowledge of all ragas, all notes to replicate the idea to another song, without the help of Carnatic music learning.
If I finish the course, will I become a play back singer?
This course is aimed to make you understand different aspects of learning a cine song, and yes if you regularly practice step-by-step as instructed, and try to apply concepts learned to every song you try, eventually in a few months to years, you can see your growth gradually of how you sang before, and periodically later on. Preparing a checklist to ourselves, you will know areas to correct, areas to improve and can tick-off one by one leading to us becoming fully prepared to take up any competition or playback.
